  • What is Potential Brewed CIC?
    Potential Brewed is a fully-funded community interest company. It was set up to help bridge the digital divide. Our mission is to empower disadvantaged and isolated community members by providing access to essential digital skills and equipment.
  • Who can attend your sessions?
    Our sessions are open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives in Macclesfield and feels they need support with digital skills or access to equipment. Whether you’re new to technology or just need a bit of help, you’re welcome to join us.
  • Where do your sessions take place?
    We hold our sessions in local, community-based spaces across Macclesfield. Our locations are designed to be informal and welcoming, making it easy for anyone to drop in and join. You can check out the latest dates and times here.
  • Do I need to book a session?
    No, our sessions operate on a drop-in basis, so you can stop by whenever it’s convenient for you. However, if you need more dedicated support, such as help with a CV or accessing government services, we offer the option to book one-on-one time with a team member.
  • What kind of support do you provide?
    We offer face-to-face support tailored to your needs, including: Setting up and using email accounts. Accessing social media to connect with friends and family. Writing CVs and registering on job sites. Understanding and using apps for everyday tasks, such as budgeting or online shopping. Accessing online government services like benefits and housing applications. General support such as WIFI access, printing and scanning. Building confidence online.
  • Where can I learn more about my child's safety online?
    We recommend the NSPCC website for information and support about online safety for children and young adults. Here you can access online safety guidance, support, information and how to report inappropriate content online.
  • How can I stay safe online as an older person?
    The Age UK website has information to help older people stay safe online. The advice covers key areas such as possible scams and how to avoid them and protecting your details whilst shopping online.
